Inspired By: Modern Tropical Weddings

Since I live in South Florida, specifically Palm Beach, I see a lot of events and weddings featuring the traditional "tropical" theme - bright colors, lots of palm leaves, and so on.

This is so beautiful and I really love it, but for this week's blog, I wanted to look at tropical in another light.  I stayed away from the bright colors - keeping things modern but classic, upscale, while keeping hints of a tropical vibe.

I chose black, white, and gold with hints of greenery and palms as the color scheme.  Black, white, and gold is not an unusual color combo, but it felt unique for a Palm Beach/South Florida/tropical event.  I love that it still feels tropical without all the color.

A Corporate Client Appreciation Luncheon: Tropical Luau

A Corporate Client Appreciation Luncheon: Tropical Luau

Tropical luaus are always the best kind of party: colorful, exciting, and FUN! We recently planned a tropical luau themed client appreciation luncheon for a corporate client, and it was a wonderful afternoon.

It was held at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida, which is a turtle rescue and rehabilitation center.  It's such a unique and interesting venue that combines beauty and education in one place.

The decor details and centerpieces included silk hibiscus flowers, palm trees, and pineapple cups as the "gift bags" for each guest. It was a fun way to incorporate the theme into something memorable!

Of course there was dessert...

And a booth for tropical photos...

Guests were also given a tour of the facilities.  They learned about the turtles currently being rehabilitated, as well as the mission of the Loggerhead center.
